Scarves By Sayedeh: Fall 2011 Collection
Fall is here and so is the new Fall silk scarf collection of Sayedeh Designs. If you are looking for good quality silk scarves with exciting designs and colors to serve as a hijab or as an accessory for your next bridal event then you would be pleased with Sayedeh’s scarves. Her fans love the vibrant designs and colors as well as the high quality and finish of the silk scarves. We got in touch with Sayedeh, the creative director at Sayedeh Designs LLC and she was kind enough to answer some questions and tell us a little about her latest Fall scarf collection.
What was your inspiration for coming up with these designs and colors for your Fall collection?
For the Fall scarves we were really aiming for bold design and incorporating some of Fall’s hottest colors. When putting an outfit together, many individuals tend to play it safe and go for neutrals they can rely on. Sayedeh scarves allow you to explore your bold side and have a truly chic look with an accessory that’s easy to work with and adds interest to your outfit; it’s a slice of luxurious style.
What are some colors that are popular this Fall?
Fall’s traditional colors include orange tones and gold tones, but we are also seeing a lot of teal, reds and pinks. We have incorporated all of these in our latest designs.
What have you found to be popular among people looking for hijabs for wedding purposes?
As a wedding attendee, fabric and texture are key elements to being a chic guest. Our Fall scarves are all 100% silk twill with hand rolled edges, so the texture is amazing and rich; therefore you will look like you went that extra mile to look fabulously presentable.
For our Bridal scarf (see first image), we stuck to the traditional white that brides seek for a western look. The floral pattern incorporates a creamy very light pink/peach tone that adds a subtle glow of texture. It is important for the scarf not to compete with a beautiful wedding dress, but to complement it.
Again, the rich and luxurious texture of the scarf with the hand rolled edges will elevate the Bride’s overall look. Not everyone can afford a very expensive wedding gown, but just adding subtle expensive details and accessories like a silk scarf can make the whole design look very expensive (and this applies to any outfit).
What is your price range?
We have a variety of scarves at various price points, but our current Fall signature silk twill scarves are 75.00 USD. And the prices for custom designs depends on the volume and labor intensity of the design.
Sayedeh also caters to special individual requests. You may contact her at info@sayedeh.com with details of your project.
Sayedeh got a very early start in fashion design through her grandmother, a Parisian fashion designer (now retired), by spending time in her boutique and learning to sew. Sayedeh’s creativity, style and taste was nurtured throughout her life by her mother who is also an artist. Sayedeh has some formal fashion design training from the Columbus College of Art & Design and a lot of experience in graphic design; so, creating scarf designs was a natural fit for her. She also holds an MBA from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
Sayedeh Designs: Most fashion enthusiasts are shopping on a budget and while there are a lot of nice inexpensive clothes to chose from, accessories are harder to fake. A good quality silk scarf can last forever and make an inexpensive outfit look very expensive, especially for a hijabi. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of good quality scarf options out there, and polyester just isn’t the same as silk. That is why Sayedeh decided to fill the gap and design fabulous silk scarves that maintain a high quality and design aesthetic worthy of the runway, and create an affordable luxury that any woman would covet.
